JOB SUMMARY
Maintains quality control, quality assurance and manages the lab to ensure company growth and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures
· Develops and implements all written Product Quality Control Procedures and Quality Assurance Procedures for the facility.
· Develops and implements all product testing procedures and assurance of reliability on data produced from testing protocols for all cementitious related materials.
Provides relevant long term testing data on products and ensures information is consistently updated.
· Oversees the development and operation of the lab.
· Reviews and implements protocols to insure product being manufactured is of the quality required by interfacing with the Plant Manager and other employees where applicable.
· Investigates and resolves all performance issues related to customer products utilizing PozzoSlag materials.
Evaluates customers’ raw materials and other related additives used by customers in concrete and other related cementitious areas, when applicable.
· Prepares reports and recommendations based upon research outcomes.
· Directs and manages lab personnel at the lab facility.
Keeps Management informed on all personnel issues.
· Monitors all laboratory work to ensure compliance with required standards.
· Assists with the selection of lab workers.
· Develops safety procedures for the lab in compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
Ensures all lab workers are in compliance with required regulations.
· Works within designated budget.
· Monitors expenses and submits expense report within company timelines.
· Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
· Performs other related duties as required or requested.

· Other duties and responsibilities related to the position may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed to complete product analysis and product production requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
· Bachelor’s in chemistry or related area
· 1+ years experience working in a lab environment
· Knowledge of lab equipment related to the position
· May be required to be a Certified Radiation Safety Officer in State or obtain certification within 1 year
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
· Prolong standing or other stationary positions
· Complete repetitive movements such as typing
· Ascend/descend stairs and ladders
· Complete repetitive movements
· Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
· Bend and/or twist
· Lift/move/transport items up 100 pounds
· Move or traverse about the facilities
· Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
· Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
· Work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
